We use this information to operate, secure, maintain and improve NOZME.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

NOZME may use cookies, browser local storage and similar storage or access technologies where necessary to operate the website and platform, support security and provide requested functionality.

At the date of this policy, NOZME does not use first-party advertising or general analytics cookies on the current web experience. When a user signs in to NOZME or to the Creator area, Supabase stores authentication session information in browser local storage so the signed-in session can be maintained.

NOZME also stores a randomly generated first-party visitor identifier in browser local storage to understand referrals from creators and other partners and to measure retailer hand-offs. The identifier is not created using browser fingerprinting and does not contain your name, email address or other directly identifying information.

Referral eligibility is currently limited to 30 days from a qualifying referral. Clearing browser storage may remove the local visitor identifier. If we introduce advertising, general analytics or other non-essential storage technologies in future, we will provide appropriate information and choices and obtain consent where required.

For more information, please see our Cookie and Similar Technologies Policy.

Meet legal obligations

We may process personal information where necessary to comply with applicable legal, regulatory or accounting obligations.

9. Our lawful bases

Under UK data protection law, we need a lawful basis for processing personal information. Depending on the circumstances, we may rely on:

Contract

Where processing is necessary to provide a service you have requested or to take steps before entering into a contract with you. For example, providing your NOZME account or delivering functionality you have requested.

Consent

Where you have given us clear permission to use your information for a particular purpose. For example, certain marketing communications or non-essential cookies. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it.

Legitimate interests

We may rely on legitimate interests where processing is necessary for a legitimate interest pursued by NOZME or another party, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms. This may include improving our services, maintaining platform security, understanding how our services are used, operating our business, and certain forms of marketing where legally permitted.

Legal obligation

Where we need to process information to comply with a legal or regulatory requirement.

10. Personalisation and profiling

Personalisation is a core part of NOZME. We may analyse information such as your preferences, stated requirements, interactions with products, saved products, sizing information, budget, shopping activity, and other information you provide to generate personalised recommendations.

This can involve profiling, meaning analysing information about you to understand your preferences or likely interests. Our objective is to make product discovery more relevant.

We process information about how you use NOZME, including recommendations shown to you, products you interact with and searches you make. We use this information to personalise and improve Discover, reduce repetitive recommendations and understand how the service is used.

11. Automated decision-making

NOZME may use automated systems, algorithms and recommendation technology to help determine which products may be relevant to you. These recommendations are intended to assist you with shopping discovery. They are not intended to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

Where applicable law gives you rights in relation to automated decision-making or profiling, we will respect those rights.

12. AI and recommendation technology

NOZME may use artificial intelligence, machine learning, algorithms or related technology as part of its recommendation and personalisation systems.

AI-generated imagery

Certain optional NOZME features use OpenAI's API to create fashion imagery, such as outfit visualisations and editorial images. To provide these features, selected product images and related product descriptions may be sent to OpenAI for processing. Where applicable, a NOZME-provided model reference image may also be supplied.

OpenAI API data controls

NOZME's OpenAI API organisation is configured with feedback sharing, evaluation and fine-tuning data sharing, and API input/output sharing disabled. NOZME has not opted in to sharing API inputs or outputs with OpenAI for model improvement or training.

OpenAI states that API inputs and outputs are not used to train its models by default unless an organisation opts in to sharing. For the image-generation endpoints currently used by NOZME, OpenAI's published API data-control documentation states that customer content may be retained in abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days and that these endpoints do not otherwise retain application state.

13. Who do we share your information with?

We may share personal information with trusted third parties where necessary to operate NOZME. These currently include Supabase for authentication, database, storage and backend services; Vercel for website and application hosting; Resend for transactional email; and OpenAI for certain AI-powered image-generation features.

Affiliate networks and retail partners

NOZME may work with affiliate networks and retailers to enable product discovery and track referrals and transactions. Where relevant, information required to attribute a referral or transaction may be processed by the applicable affiliate network or retailer. NOZME will not sell your personal information simply because you use the platform.

Legal and regulatory authorities

We may disclose information where required by law or where necessary to protect our legal rights, users or the business.

14. Affiliate links

NOZME may use affiliate links when connecting you with participating retailers. When you click an affiliate link, information may be shared with the relevant affiliate network or retailer to enable referral tracking and attribution. If you subsequently purchase something, the affiliate network or retailer may use that information to attribute the purchase to NOZME. NOZME may receive a commission from the resulting transaction.

Partner referrals and attribution

NOZME may use a randomly generated first-party identifier to understand referrals from creators, stylists, boutiques and other partners and to measure subsequent retailer hand-offs. The identifier is stored in your browser and is not created using browser fingerprinting.

15. International data transfers

Some of our service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we will take appropriate steps to ensure that the transfer is lawful and that your information receives appropriate protection.

16. How long do we keep your information?

Short-term recommendation and discovery records

  • recommendation impression records: up to 90 days;
  • recent product-exposure records used to reduce repetitive recommendations: up to 60 days from the most recent exposure; and
  • recent search-intent records: up to 14 days from the most recent search.

Partner attribution records

A qualifying partner referral is currently eligible for attribution for 30 days. Historical referral and retailer hand-off records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to operate and audit the service, reconcile retailer or affiliate-network activity, prevent fraud, meet legal or accounting obligations, or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

For other personal information, we retain data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it is processed. When information is no longer required, we will securely delete it or anonymise it where appropriate.

17. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, accidental loss, destruction, alteration, disclosure and other unauthorised processing.

However, no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should also take reasonable steps to protect your account information, including keeping passwords confidential.

18. Your data protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights under UK data protection law including:

Right of access

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.

Right to rectification

You can ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.

Right to erasure

You may ask us to delete your personal information in certain circumstances.

Right to restrict processing

You may ask us to restrict how we use your information in certain circumstances.

Right to data portability

In certain circumstances, you may ask us to provide personal information in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.

Right to object

You may have the right to object to certain processing, including direct marketing. You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing.

Right to withdraw consent

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before withdrawal.

19. How to exercise your rights

To exercise your rights, contact: [email protected]

Please provide enough information for us to identify you and understand your request. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will respond within the time period required by applicable data protection law.

20. Marketing communications

If you choose to receive marketing communications from NOZME, we may send you information about NOZME, new features, product developments, launch updates, Founding 500 information, shopping-related content and other relevant NOZME updates.

Where consent is required, we will ask for it separately and clearly. You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.

21. Children's information

NOZME accounts are currently intended for adults. An adult account holder may create and manage family profiles, including profiles relating to children, to personalise shopping and manage shopping activity on their behalf.

A child or family profile is not a separate NOZME account and does not currently provide a child with independent access to NOZME. The adult account holder remains responsible for access to the account and for managing the information held in family profiles.

NOZME may introduce age-appropriate functionality designed for younger users in future. Before making independent child or Tween access available, we will assess the applicable requirements of the UK Children's Code, implement appropriate privacy and safety protections, and update this Privacy Policy accordingly.

22. Third-party websites

NOZME may contain links to third-party websites, including retailer websites. Once you leave NOZME and visit a third-party website, that organisation's own privacy policy and terms will apply. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security or content of third-party websites.

23. Retailer responsibility

NOZME is a discovery platform rather than the retailer for products you discover through the service. When you click through to a retailer and make a purchase, the retailer will process information necessary to fulfil your order. The retailer's own privacy policy will apply to its processing.

24. Social media

NOZME operates social media profiles and may interact with users through platforms such as Instagram and TikTok. If you interact with NOZME through social media, the relevant platform may process your personal information according to its own privacy policy.

25. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify users where required. The latest version will always be made available on our website.
